Over the Christmas holiday we got together and made holiday care packages for the troops. You can read more about it here:

We’re happy to share some of the photos we got back from these amazing soldiers!

Christmas in Afghanistan 1

Would you look at that? They set up a stocking wall using the stuffed stockings AME sent over. That truly warms our hearts.

These heroes, fighting for our country, spend so many holidays away from family and miss out on momentous events in their loved ones lives. We cannot thank them enough for the sacrifices they make.

It is incredibly gratifying to see that the small gesture AME made brought such huge smiles to our troops faces, and hopefully made the holidays a little brighter and a little more like home.

We LOVE that some of the decorations AME sent were used to bling out holiday sweaters!

Units aren’t often authorized budgets to send fun or spirit lifting items overseas to their deployed soldiers. Whether it is a hand written letter, a care package, or a simple thank you card, there are tons of ways we can give back to these amazing folks and show them the love and support they most definitely deserve.

Here at AME we love giving back, it’s so important, and this project is something near and dear to our hearts.  I mean, we owe it to them, don’t we?

Do you want to get involved? Check out some of these programs that make it simple to show our troops the support and encouragement they deserve. We promise you’ll be glad you did!

And if you’re looking for ways to support our veterans at home, there are tons of great programs. We all know that these heroes continue to fight battles even after they return home, and many have scars we cannot see.
