Sell More Books on Amazon.comReady to sell more books on Amazon.com? Here’s a simple trick you can do that will bring more eyes to your page.

  1. Buy a URL that speaks to your audience. It should be keyword heavy. So I picked SellMoreBooksonAmazon.com – I found that people were searching those keywords and (thankfully) the keywords weren’t taken. So find some keywords that work in your market then head on over and buy the domain. For example if you’ve written a book about paranormal romance you might want to buy something with those keywords in the URL since folks will be searching for them.
  2. Now head over to your Author Central Page and grab that URL, if you have a custom URL for it, even better. You can set a custom URL for Author Central by going to the settings. Mine is: amazon.com/author/pennysansevieri
  3. Once you buy the domain, go into the forward settings and forward it to your Author Central Page. This will help promote all of your books.
  4. If you don’t have a lot of books, or if you just have one you can use this URL to point to just that book, too.

When I did this, it took GoDaddy about five minutes to forward the domain. Now I’ll use that domain in all of my sales materials where I want people to go straight to Amazon to buy the book. It’s just another way to push more attention to your titles and get more sales.

Good luck!
