Welcome to another issue of the Book Marketing Expert Newsletter!

Dear Author,

Welcome to a brand new year! We hope that 2011 has been good to you so far. We’re really excited about this new year and look forward to having you on the marketing road with us!

I was in New York over the holidays with a special someone and also some of the AME team. I had a great time, especially when the blizzard hit, which I couldn’t stop taking pictures of. I was a true tourist. I also brought with me my furry friend, Cosmo. It was his first flight, first snow, and first trip to New York. I might be blogging on this trip for FIDO Friendly magazine, so stay tuned. And thanks to my outstanding team I was able to actually take time off (how refreshing), though I did work on my next book: Get Published Today, which will be published by Wheatmark this Spring. 6 Ways to Promote Your E-book

1. Get your e-book listed on e-book selling sites. There are sites where you can list your e-book for free, like these:

http://www.e-book-zone.com/e_submit.html (This is a link you can download or save to your computer and then open).

http://www.wisdomebooks.com

http://www.smashwords.com

And other sites which will charge a small fee to add your e-book to their marketplace like this one:
http://www.clickbank.com

The great thing about selling your e-book (especially non-fiction) at clickbank is that there are affiliate marketers looking for new products to sell all the time and they become a sales force for your book.

2. Turn your e-book into a Kindle book at https://dtp.amazon.com/mn/signin.

3. Use excerpts of your book, broken down into smaller special reports at a smaller price point. Often this leads to individuals purchasing your complete e-book.

4. Take chunks from your e-book and place them both on your blog and on other people’s blogs.

5. Use an autoresponder to drip out information consistently and on auto-pilot with reminders of your book, your website, and other things you have to offer.

6. Comment on high-ranking blogs in a way that is helpful and gets people’s attention so they visit your website to find out more.
