Publisher Thomas Nelson is counting on that with their new blog/book review program. In exchange for a promise to post a 200 word review on their blog and on Amazon, they’re offering free review copies of “select titles” – to get more information or to register for this program, click here.

While I think the program is a great idea in principle, it’s not easy finding people who will review a book. Many have great aspirations of finding time to review but a good review, one that’s thorough and keys into significant elements of the book isn’t easy. But if you’re willing to take the risk of sending out books to folks (many of whom won’t get back to you) then it’s worth a shot. Alternatively, there was an author last year who paid $50 per completed review, my understanding is she posted this invite to review on her blog and was met with a ton of response and because she held out paying till she got a review (either a good or bad one, she was pretty clear on that point).
