Authors must do *something* – you have to get out, you have to promote, you have to engage your reader and (most important) you have to figure out how to get them to buy. I know, I know, easier said than done, right? Well, here’s the deal: super success can happen and often, when you least expect it. A great example of this is a recent article in USA Today about The Shack, the little book that could. This self-published title is hitting the USA Today Bestseller list. How did this happen? Hard work, creativity and yes, a dash of perfect timing thrown in for good measure.
