The Ernest Hemingway cats, that is – the mostly six-toed felines who descended from Snowball (given to Hemingway in 1935) that now run wild at the Hemingway home. The federal government wanted the feral cats removed, but The Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum built a special fence to protect the cats. Now everyone’s purring.
